Friday, January 21, 2022 This year our Education Partnership Coordinators had to get creative! The goal was, and continues to be, ensuring that our youngest Community Financial Credit Union members stay safe while being able to reach their savings goals. Through-out the pandemic thus far, there have been a number of methods developed to enable students to make deposits at their schools. Some students even got to enjoy the experience of working the Student-Run Credit Unions while keeping socially distant!

For Community Financial, supporting teachers and school districts is an important part of our community initiative. Since 1999, Our Community Shares program has awarded local school districts up to $45,000 each year to help fill gaps in education programs throughout the regions we serve. In total, Community Financial has donated over $750,000 in 24 years to our partnering schools!

Community Financial has school partnerships in five schools near our northern branches. Students in Gaylord Intermediate, Lewiston Elementary, Atlanta, Gaylord St. Mary’s, and Hillman Intermediate schools participate in our Student-Run Credit Union program.
